God is all about relationships!
Thought for today:
God is love. He is all about relationships!
God sent His Son Jesus, to take the penalty for our sin. If we got into Heaven the way we are - sinful - heaven wouldn't be perfect anymore.
God is holy and nothing unholy gets in!
But, thank God He had a plan! God was willing to give His Son, Jesus to become a human being and to take the penalty for sin! Sin causes us to be separated from God.
Jesus became SIN for us, He knew no sin himself. Jesus died on the Cross and became a curse for us. He was buried, raised from the dead, got the Keys of Hell and death and rose from the dead. He was alive, He died, and He is alive forevermore!
John 3: Jesus said:
12 “If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?
13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is,the Son of Man who is in heaven.
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." NKJV
When you receive Jesus as your Savior and Lord, you receive not only forgiveness of your sin, you also become "born of His Spirit". You become a new person inside. A new creation.
2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV — Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Get to know the Lord. You'll want to love Him with your whole being, when you find out what He did for you and how much He loves you!
