Thought for Today - Do you need healing? Get God’s Medicine!

The Bible has a lot to say about healing! From Genesis to Revelation we see God's plan for healing ever since the fall of man, when sin and sickness entered - God made a way for people to be healed.  

There is in Isaiah 53 – the prophecy of Jesus’ body being broken for our healing; and the book of Revelation – we see healing in the New Jerusalem; health and wholeness in Heaven. God’s Word is full of examples of healing from sickness for His people.

Here’s one of God’s Medicines:

Proverbs 17:22 NKJV

A merry heart does good, [like] medicine, 
But a broken spirit dries the bones.

The word for merry means: joyful, showing joy, you who rejoice.

The word for broken means: wounded, bitter, discontented – it has to do with the seat of emotions.
If your wounded and bitter – it will affect your bones! 

Thought: Ask the Lord to forgive you for holding onto that wound and bitterness. Ask Him to fill you with joy. Now rejoice, give thanks, bless those who have done you wrong. Never look back. Look into Jesus’ face and see His love, mercy and goodness. He’ll show you much to rejoice about, and give you joy!
