Thought
for Today: The Spirit of God and Dream Interpretation. Part 3
What
dreams have you had, that needed interpretation?
The
Pharaoh in Egypt had a dream that was disturbing him. He calls for his wise men
to interpret it and they can’t. He finds out about Joseph, a man of God, who
has the Spirit of God upon him.
…“Now
it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled, and he sent and
called for all the magicians of Egypt and all its wise men. And Pharaoh told
them his dreams, but [there was] no one who could interpret them for
Pharaoh.” Genesis 41:8 NKJV
Pharaoh
sends for Joseph to come to him to help
interpret the dream.
…And
Pharaoh said to Joseph, "I have had a dream, and [there is] no one who can
interpret it. But I have heard it said of you [that] you can understand a
dream, to interpret it." So Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, "[It is]
not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace."’ Genesis 41:15-16
NKJV
The
Spirit of God gives Joseph the dream interpretation and the plan to save the
nation. But Pharaoh doesn't know anyone wise enough to administrate the plan.
…And
Pharaoh said to his servants, "Can we find [such a one] as this, a man in
whom [is] the Spirit of God?" Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Inasmuch
as God has shown you all this, [there is] no one as discerning and wise as you. "You shall be over my house, and all my
people shall be ruled according to your word; only in regard to the throne will
I be greater than you." Genesis 41:38-40 NKJV
The
Spirit of God gave Joseph insight, understanding, wisdom, discernment and
intelligence to not only interpret the dream, but to be able to administrate
all the crops, food and distribution for 14 years, over the whole nation.
Thought
for today is – Don’t LIMIT God! Ask the Lord to fill you with His Spirit and
give you wisdom, insight and all the other things He gave Joseph. God will use
you like He used Joseph, if you’ll believe Him!
He’ll
teach you and show you things to come and give you interpretations to dreams
and more!
